A Pennsylvania-based firm specializing in 24/7 remote database administration and monitoring identified critical limitations in its existing ITSM and monitoring services. While previously operating through separate SolarWinds and ServiceNow platforms linked by a web portal, the solution lacked seamless integration and mobility—advantages essential during their ongoing rebranding.
To enhance efficiency and usability, the client aspired to deliver a mobile-first, consolidated ITSM application—one intuitive interface combining the functionality of both platforms. Simplicity, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness were prioritized. The team engaged MuSoft to build this bespoke mobile experience while ensuring performance and fault tolerance under constrained budget conditions.
Musoft implemented a robust Integration Hub, a dedicated server acting as a single source of orchestrated business logic. Built using PHP for its balance of performance and affordability, the hub served as the backend engine connecting ServiceNow and SolarWinds seamlessly.
For cross-platform compatibility, the Xamarin framework was chosen, enabling efficient deployment across both iOS and Android. To address ServiceNow’s sometimes sluggish response, the team optimized backend queries and introduced smart caching—resulting in frictionless performance that felt immediate to end-users without sacrificing real-time accuracy.
The solution embraced native ServiceNow credentials for secure authentication and delivered instant push notifications to keep users informed about real-time system updates and activities. A comprehensive performance test validated responsiveness, while a third-party security audit confirmed full compliance with stringent protection standards.
This project demonstrates how modular architecture, optimized back-end operations, and user-focused engineering can transform disparate systems into a cohesive mobile experience. The result: enhanced operational agility, seamless service delivery, and a scalable foundation for future expansion.
